What color is clear tape?

lime green, but some people tell me its purple with orange spots, i guess i will never know since i can't see the color...when i try to see the color i just end up seeing the color of what ever is behind the tape. its starting to get on my nerves...What color is clear tape?

clear is a measure of clarity not of color. Something can have color AND be clear, for example grape kool=aid is purple and clear.
